“Let your child be free to play until they reach the age of seven. For the next seven years, keep a watchful eye on him, and finally befriend him for another seven year. Then if he succeeds; otherwise, there is no good in him.”
COURSE DESCRIPTIONThe first seven years of a child’s life are the years in which he develops physical strength. Children should be given the freedom to engage in all sorts of productive physical activities and sports. Such activities that had been mentioned in a Hadith include swimming, horseback riding, and archery. It is not favorable for adults to restrain the child’s movement. Even in case they were afraid that their child would harm himself, their role must be constricted to monitoring him rather than forbidding him from having his own space and freedom of movement. Learning at their own pace and in their own time, it is during this time that everything comes to bloom for your child. The core skills of reading, writing and mathematical understanding blossom from the many seeds planted in the previous two years. The child leaves the program with a strong set of academic skills; but, far more importantly, with the attitude that learning is fun, exciting and boundless. Awareness of the existence of Allah is inherent; the children are learning how to pray, reading the Quran and the practices that please Allah in their daily activities. Nuh’s Ark nurtures the nature in your child.
